What Frame are you currently riding?
The super awesome Take Ivy 3 ST in 20.75
What inspires you to ride?
Just cruising around and being able to push all my worries to the
side and chill with my friends.
School, work or any responsibilities to speak
of?
I got to The School of the Museum of Fine Art in Boston and have a
little job there to keep me fed.
iPod equipped while riding or shit talkin' with
the dudes?
It depends on the situation, if I’m scared to do something I’ll
put the ipod on to clear my head but usually I’m running my mouth talking
shit with everyone…
What music are you listening to lately? Does your
music choice change while on your bike?
I’ve had the same play list of around 80 songs for 2 or 3 years,
once in a while I’ll add a song or two to the list but I keep it pretty
unchanged. It’s got a little bit of everything on there, even some
Taylor Swift for CB Coombs and Zack Cooke.
Favorite terrain and spots to ride?
I love riding street. On Long Island there are almost no skate
parks so growing up we only really rode around the local towns. I have
grown to love riding parks too but street stuff and weird, unique setups
will always be my favorite.
Favorite BMX video of all time?
It’s somewhat of a two way tie between Voices and Tomorrow We Work
by Joe Cox. So good.
Something you could never get tired of?
Joey Bag of Donuts, burritos with extra queso from Moe’s, seriously
the best thing ever.
Interests outside of riding?
I like building stuff and working on projects. I actually really like
working in general as well. Something about getting stuff done and
earning money is really important to me and makes me feel like I am
contributing to society, haha.
Any goals with The Take you hope to accomplish?
As long as I don’t turn out as ratty as Denny, I’ll be psyched
on my time here at The Take, haha.
What's the current status of BMX to you? Do you
care?
I actually hate how much I know about the BMX industry, I feel
like it took a lot of the fun out of it for me but I definitely think
its growing and more kids are getting into the sport, which is always
good. More kinds need to stop concerning themselves with internet bullshit
and go ride though, that’s an ever growing problem.
An ideal day with Chris Zeppieri:
Get up kinda early, around 9 or 10, make some breakfast, teleport
the entire TJD crew to my apartment and cruise over to Timeless BMX.
Ride around and shoot the shit with Jody at the shop and finish off
with a burrito from Moe’s. Unfortunately there’s no way to get a Moe’s
burrito in Boston but hopefully soon Moe’s will establish itself there.
Anyone you would like to thank:
I want to thank my parents for helping me with everything. The Take/FBM
for giving me this opportunity. CB Coombs for being awesome, Jody and
Christine at
www.timelessbmx.com for
helping me out with everything, Craig Passero, Adam 22, Jeff Dupaul
and the TJD family, Dan McAllister, Eddie at 5050 and all the Long
Island and Boston locals I ride and chill with regularly, THANKS!!
